Interesting but NOT a cyclone prediction

Well let me start off by saying this was done just out of interest. I'm NOT a weatherman, and I am DEFINITELY NOT making a prediction or forecast here, lets be clear about that!

I know a lot of people who are a bit jittery about the impending weather hanging around my home town of Darwin, Australia. and the last thing I want to do is cause concern.

I was doing a bit of digging around the BOM archives and plotted the course of Darwin's most famous cyclone that hit on Christmas day 1974 and the similarities at the current stage especially around the geological areas were what caught my eye.

The particular area of interest was around the point of Cape Fourcroy which was where Tracy initially swung around and then doubled its Category number.  I am crossing fingers for a NO REPEAT scenario of course!

Again, not making a prediction here !
